8 RN to BSN Korean Nurse Program  Registered nurses educated in Korea have successfully passed NCLEX-RN  The Korean Nurse Program provides an opportunity for Korean Nurses to strengthen their professional skills within the U.S. healthcare environment and to develop their proficiency in English.

9 Highlights of Korean Nurse Program  Courses in oral and written communication  Nursing coursework combined with field experiences  Transitional clinical experience to serve as an introduction to the American health system

10 Admissions Requirements  Have earned a diploma from an accredited Korean nursing school and show evidence of academic proficiency.  Have professional nursing experienced, preferably in a hospital setting.  Have taken and passed the National Council Licensing Exam (NCLEX).  Show evidence of intermediate-level English skills.

11 English Proficiency Requirement  Key to successful completion of nursing program and professional nursing practice.  New JCAHO Guidelines may require TOEFL  Must have a TOEFL Score of 550 or higher by the end of Term I of program.  Student is responsible for developing their English skills.

12 Highlight of Field Experience  Curricular Practical Training (CPT) enhances the application of nursing theory within the U.S. healthcare context.  Optional Practical Training (OPT) provides the student opportunity to work at one of Eastern’s health partner sites at the end of the program  All faculty and medical personnel in this program are committed to helping students prepare for and adjust to the U.S. healthcare environment.
