9. Footprint is a web based automatic vehicle tracking system, which uses GPS AND GSM/GPRS technologies to track you vehicles location, speed, direction, security and safety. Footprint acts as you Private Business Radar, allowing you to track & trace your vehicles while setting at your desk. Foot print allows you to monitor you drivers and vehicles with assurance and confidence. The raw data is then filtered, processed and uploaded to a web server. The server will then generate tracking, positional results and current status of the vehicle. What is FOOTPRINT

12. Work flow Unit installed in your vehicle monitors the footprint and updates internal position every 1 minute. Vehicle unit message is transmitted to the Cellular Network (location, speed, heading). The footprint Network Operations Center receives the GPS message and posts to your Net Track server database. You see your vehicle update with the latest GPS information and move to the new location on the map in browser. Unit operates in much the same way except that a satellite is used instead of the Cellular Network. The GPS message is transmitted via an satellite to the footprint.

16. Tracking System Online Firstly the hardware equipment will be deployed in the vehicle and switched on. The user will go to web and enters “user id” and “password” for authentication. Then user can select the map and can see the precise location of vehicle on map. Reliability goal is achieved even if the internet service is down, system will send SMS on GSM network, even if GSM Network is out of coverage the data will be buffered in the PC and immediately send back when GSM Network is in reach. The system will provide accurate result after processing. Consumer satisfaction is achieved because the accuracy is good, no licensing is required and system will cost one time equipment charges. Usage charges are very low i.e. only SMS and using GPRS service charges.
