Food  Bologna is known as the city of the fat and the learned because they have a great food culture  You have to try the Bolognese sauce!  Italian food is not just lasagna and spaghetti  Food in Italy has a large Mediterranean influence in the south  Try any and all kinds of food. You might get some weird stuff, but you will definitely not regret it.
