9 Quotes and Pictures “It is not like going on a vacation in another country where you are living in hotels and eating gourmet meals every night. You live in that country like normal people live in that country. I’ve been there, I’ve lived with the people, and I’ve had a taste of the culture.” Sara Watkins, History, Philosophy, Ghana Sara Watkins, History, Philosophy, Ghana

10 “ I met a lot of people of different nationalities, cultures and beliefs, which wasn’t so hard to cope with, but I realized that although we have our own beliefs, thoughts and customs, we are still human beings who can manage to live together. “ I met a lot of people of different nationalities, cultures and beliefs, which wasn’t so hard to cope with, but I realized that although we have our own beliefs, thoughts and customs, we are still human beings who can manage to live together. 11 “I would recommend to anybody who has a chance to travel abroad to go for it, no matter what. It is an experience you will never forget and you will have for the rest of your life. With every place I’ve been to, I’ve come home with a new experience and a new outlook on life. You learn not to take for granted what we have in this country.” Marian Mohammad Marian Mohammad Interior Design, Alexandria University, Egypt.

12 “It was the most rewarding experience of my life. They welcomed me. They accepted me. I learned more from the teachers and students (in the Ecuadoran schools) than I could ever have taught them. The whole experience was very eye-opening. Any student who’s interested in studying abroad should grasp the opportunity and not let anything stand in your way. It will change you.” - Deena Haweld, Spanish and International Studies, Spain.
