RESOURCES AKA - textbook ◦ Middle school will be using College Preparatory Math – CPM ◦ They will have a book to take home and a toolkit ◦ E-books are $10 @ www.cpm.orgwww.cpm.org ◦ Two quiz grades per 9 weeks. ◦ 4 weeks – total points earned divided by total points needed, 3000. ◦ 8 weeks – total points earned divided by total points needed, 6000 Think through Math- at home computer work.

4. HOMEWORK All answers to the homework, review and preview, will be posted online. Students are to work the problem, check the problem then revise the problem if needed. 5 questions from the homework will be picked to grade. Each questions will be 2 points for a total of 10 points. That will be converted to a percent. Students who do not have their homework will have to call a parent or guardian during class to inform them they didn’t do it. I do not take late work.

You will receive emails on upcoming quizzes and tests this way. Please check parent portal for your student’s grades and get the alerts for grades of below a 70.

6. WEEKLY PROGRESS REPORTS AND PHONE CALLS HOME ◦ Progress reports sent home on Monday and Tuesday. Grades of a 75% or below must be signed and returned the next class period. When not returned, they will call you to tell you they forgot it and tell there current grade. ◦ Phone calls will also be made the week and day before think through math is due if points have not been met. ◦ This is to allow your student to communicate with you about what their current grade is.
