9  Questions to ask  What do I need to communicate  What do I hope to achieve  Who – who am I going to talk to  Why am I doing this  How long must it be  What format am I going to use  Are there any accompanying items

10  Have an outline - objective  Follow logic Begin > Middle > End  Choice : outline/explanation  Keep notes  Timing  Know your audience  Practice

14  Always have a backup copy  Face the audience always  Talk to the people not the slides  If no pointer use mouse  Test the links  Anticipate questions and have answers

15  Simple  Keywords  Do not put every word on the screen that distracts the audience who try to read all the words on the screen rather than listening to what you have to say and then actually loose the point that you are trying to make. The objective is to use the slides to give a summary of KEYWORDS that are used as aids to yourself and the audience to capture the main points that you are making……..  StanDAR dizat ion  Colours  Distractions
