Commercial Taxes form one of the major revenue for the Govt of A.P. Taxes are collected as per the provisions of various Acts, mainly APGST, CST, APET,Professional Tax and APLT. For the purpose of ease in tax administration the state is divided into 21 Divisions. A division office is divided into circles and circles into units. There are 182 Circle offices and 404 Unit offices, in addition there are 48 Checkposts which monitor movement of commodities.
