10 Creation u The first verse of the Bible contains five essentials we have come to accept as necessary for life as we know it. –In the beginning… Time –God ……………..Power/Force –Created…………..Action –Heavens………….Space –Earth …………….Matter

11 Creation u The Genesis account does not contain the errors of the polytheistic creation myths. _______________________ u A platform for life u An orderly creation, essentials for life, simple to complex. u No primeval ponds or gods feuding as a source of creation. _________________________ u Science leads us to believe these things are necessary. How did the biblical writer get it right thousands of years before scientific observation?

22 Genesis 49:10 The Messiah promise is through Judah "The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs and the obedience of the nations is his."

23 Genesis Ends Looking to the Future u (Gen 50:25-26 NIV) And Joseph made the sons of Israel swear an oath and said, "God will surely come to your aid, and then you must carry my bones up from this place." {26} So Joseph died at the age of a hundred and ten. And after they embalmed him, he was placed in a coffin in Egypt.
