It will identify areas where common EU action on social media would benefit employability, jobs and growth. It will address the three perspectives of the social media economy: businesses, web entrepreneurship with job creation potential and public sector. 3 Key points from the discussion The overarching objective is to stimulate small and medium size businesses and innovative start-ups across the EU leveraging social media to create a sustainable growth, additional jobs and being able to compete in a global market and enable public sector/e-government to social media strategies to foster the active engagement of citizens and have an impact on growth and jobs Education Share best practice – user cases what works what doesn’t, industry and market specific and for government with citizens. Show excluded citizens the benefits of e-engagement and encourages access (eg: Telecentres etc.) Certification of Social Media consultants across EU Advantage for SME and government – Challenge – Awareness, distribution channels Risk-and-Reward information, collect the data and disseminate.
