Asia Population: 3,674,000,000 Number of Countries: 47 Continent with the largest land area. Highest point on earth at Mt. Everest : 29,028 ft. tall Main Languages: Chinese, Hindi, Bengali, Japanese, Punjabi, Javanese, Korean First traces of civilization are known to be found here.

Antarctica Population: 0 (except for the scientists that live there temporarily. Number of countries: 0 Coldest Temperature: -126 degrees Fahrenheit. Only 2% of the continent is ice free. Has the lowest point on Earth, covered with ice and is 8,327 ft. below sea level.

Australia Population: 31,000,000 Number of Countries: 14 Main language: English The only continent with its own capital. Capital: Canberra 1/3 of Australia is in the tropics. Most famous for the Australian Outback which is the home to over 50 kinds of kangaroos and koala bears.

North America Population: 483,000,000 Number of Countries: 23 The highest point in North America is at Mt. McKinley in Alaska. Main languages: English, Spanish, and French. Foreign trade in North America is over one trillion dollars. Largest cities: Mexico city, New York city, Los Angeles, Chicago, Santo Domingo, Havana, Guadalajara, Houston, Philadelphia, Nezahualcoyotle, San Diego, Monterrey, Detroit, Montreal, Pueblo, Dallas, Phoenix, San Antonio.

Europe Population: 342,000,000 Number of Countries: 43 Largest cities: Moscow, London, Istanbul, St. Petersburg, Berlin Europe is the second smallest continent but it has the second largest population. Europe is not separated from Asia, it is divided by the Ural Mountains. The Euro is the standard currency.

Africa Population: 778,000,000 Number of countries: 53 Largest Cities: Cairo, Egypt; Kinshasa, Zaire, and Alexandria, Egypt Religions: Christianity, Islam, tribal religions, and Baha'i Over 1000 religions are spoken in Africa. Africa is 4 times the size of the United States.
