2 Engineering H193 - Team Project Gateway Engineering Education Coalition P. 2 Spring Quarter 2005 Notes from the FEH Meeting Special Orders must be approved by the Prof. Freuler or Mr. Hoffmann. Criteria: –What will it be used for? –Why this part and not something in store? –Produce a drawing showing the part(s) on the team’s design Things to note about special orders: –No special orders can be restocked Team’s must check with store – read whiteboard or ask store employee whether parts are in (true for both regular and special orders

3 Engineering H193 - Team Project Gateway Engineering Education Coalition P. 3 Spring Quarter 2005 Other Administrative Issues Resources are limited – please share At this time purchase only what you need for each robot. Do not purchase spares or extras until notice is posted at the store

4 Engineering H193 - Team Project Gateway Engineering Education Coalition P. 4 Spring Quarter 2005 New Tread Parts Teams may purchase (At this time): –14 tooth or 18 tooth timing pulleys – No more than 4 of any one size and <= 6 total Example: 2 - 18 tooth pulleys Example: 4 – 14 tooth pulleys & 2 – 18 tooth pulleys Example: 4 – 18 tooth pulleys & 2 – 14 tooth pulleys 22 tooth pulleys are not available yet –20, 22, or 24 inch belts <= 2 –Road/Idler (~1.6 inch dia.) <= 4

5 Engineering H193 - Team Project Gateway Engineering Education Coalition P. 5 Spring Quarter 2005 Part Numbers 20, 22, & 24 inch belts – WHL41, WHL42, & WHL43 14 tooth pulley – WHL44 18 tooth pulley – WHL45 22 tooth pulley – WHL46 Road/Idler Wheels – WHL47 See Handout on Tread/Track System Parts Policy See Stores Information on shaft adapters
