7 Administration Russian National Working Group on GOOS confirmed that participation of Russian in NEAR-GOOS is of high priority. GOOS related activity has been developing under the national program “Integrated System of Information on the World Ocean” (ESIMO), http://rus.ferhri.ru/~esimo/ http://rus.ferhri.ru/~esimo/ Far Eastern segment/module of ESIMO is under development at FERHRI

8 Real-time Data Base maintained by FERHRI http://rus.ferhri.ru/~esimo/Projects/Neargoos/ -data from some coastal stations since 1998 data from research vessels and ships of opportunity

9 Current situation of Institutions/Organizations 1. Far Eastern Regional Hydrometeorological Research Institute (FERHRI) For the period from 1959 till the present time, the Institute has carried out about 600 cruises aboard the large-capacity research vessels. It has been done up to 130 000 hydrological stations in various parts of the World Ocean. Main Data/Metadata Bases related to NOWPAP maintained by RODC of FERHRI (http://rus.ferhri.ru/; http://rus.hydromet.com/~argo; http://rus.ferhri.ru/~esimo/Projects/Neargoos/Neargoos_FERHRI.htm) TITLE NAMEOBS.
