1 IT&S information technology and services (Run as Slide Show) Laptop Encryption – Password Change (Run as Slide Show)  As a user of an encrypted laptop (Utimaco (Sophos Safeguard) or Wave), your local password must be synchronized with your BP1 password. Using the instructions in this presentation, this should happen automatically (*).  When changing your password your experience and requirements will differ based on your type of PC.  Within BP there are three different types of PC – click on the appropriate one below. 2 IT&S information technology and services BP Passport Explorer If you are using BP Passport Explorer please follow the instructions within the countdown email Your startup login is your local windows login and not your BP1 login. When you change your BP1 password, your startup password remains unchanged. Return

3 IT&S information technology and services BP Passport and Voyager For BP Passport and Voyager users, you should change your password using the CTRL+ALT+DEL options described below. Recommended method: In BP Office & LAN Cable plugged in 1. Login to the machine as normal. 2. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL and change your BP1 password 3. The encryption password will be automatically updated (*) 4. Both passwords will now be in sync. Alternative method: no LAN cable connectivity is available 1.Login on to the machine as normal 2.Connect to the BP network via iRAS (Passport) or CrossLink (Voyager) 3.Press CTRL+ALT+DEL and change your BP1 password 4.The encryption password will be automatically updated (*) 5.Both passwords will now be in sync (*) Following password change, please allow a few minutes for password synchronization to complete before closing down or unplugging your machine. 4 IT&S information technology and services Troubleshooting: Account Unlock  Your account may become locked if you have several devices which are not automatically synchronised e.g. a mobile phone or tablet.  Registration with Quest is therefore still important as it will provide you with the ability to unlock your account yourself should it become locked.  If you think you may be locked out of your PC then go to the Quest tool: https://selfhelp.bpglobal.com/ & unlock your account (if this option is not present, then your account is not locked)https://selfhelp.bpglobal.com/  If your account is unlocked and you still cannot login, please call your local service desk and report the problem.
