Burlingame’s only full access to US 101 Oldest interchange in the County - built in 1948 Confusing and unconventional design (19 legged interchange) Traffic congestion and circulation problems 5 legged Rollins/Broadway intersection (Level of Service of F) Doesn’t meet current seismic standards Does not accommodate Pedestrians and Bicyclist on the overcrossing

Bid Opening occurred May 13th, 2014 Executed Contract with Ghilotti Construction on July First Caltrans/City Strategy PIO Meeting on July 23, 2014 Received Contractor Baseline Schedule and Staging on August 28, 2014 Upcoming Milestones First Working Day of Contract is Sept. 10, 2014 Ground Breaking Ceremony on September 16th at 1 p.m. Held at Bay Trail adjacent to intersection at Bayshore & Airport Blvd. Construction to be completed by mid-2017
