17 “Science and Research are the Engines of Innovations
“Science and Research are the Engines of Innovations!” Research and Scientific Activities The Faculty is part of scientific-research and developmental base of the University. It develops creative scientific activities oriented in areas of civil protection, security, environmental problems including the solutions of natural and industrial disasters and catastrophes, safety at work, physical protection, crime prevention, fire protection and prevention, critical infrastructure, etc.

18 Fire-Chemical Laboratory enables:
Laboratories Faculty of Security Engineering Fire-Chemical Laboratory enables: to test the reactions of products against fire, to simulate possible leakage of dangerous substances (e.g. oil products) and possible liquidation (e.g. by sorbents), the determination of selected physical-chemical properties of respective fire-technical parameters of flammable substances in liquid and solid statuses, to study heat effects of inorganic and organic substances, light effects of processes of burning of selected inorganic and organic substances, processes of self ignition of chemical substances.

19 Faculty of Security Engineering
Laboratories Faculty of Security Engineering Center for Simulating of Crises Events enables: to use modern IT technologies, hardware and software, for education, research and scientific purposes, to do modeling and simulations of severe crises events and situations, to do predictions of possible effects of those events and situations, to use the possibility of conference calls.

20 Faculty of Security Engineering
Laboratories Faculty of Security Engineering Laboratory of Security Management : The laboratory of security management is used to guarantee the training of the special subjects (e.g. Perimeter Protection Systems, Security System Designing, Inside Protection Systems, Mechanical Barriers, etc.) where students get acquainted in a practical way with the elements of security systems, information, signal and controlling systems (e.g. Alarm Receiving Centre, Alarm Transmission System, Intruder Alarm System, CCTV Surveillance System, Access Control System, etc.).
