2 Protagonist A protagonist is the main character and the star of the action. Who is the protagonist of Peter Pan?

3 Antagonist An antagonist goes against or opposes the protagonist.
The antagonist does not have to be a person. Who is the antagonist of Peter Pan?

4 Dynamic Character A dynamic character changes his values, personality, or outlook on life through the course of the story. You need to read the whole story to decide if a character has changed.

5 Static Character A static character stays the same through the course of the story. He/She does not change his/her values or personality.

6 Dynamic vs. Static If a cheerful, humble character inherits a million dollars from a rich aunt in a story and he stays cheerful and humble, he is static. If this same cheerful, humble character becomes bitter, resentful, suspicious, and selfish, he is dynamic.
