2 ROUND CHARACTERS VS. FLAT
A round character is a thing that has a major role in a fiction writing who encounters conflict. Rainsford is a round character A flat character however is a minor character who does not have a specific role that does not change or grow during the story. Whitney from The Most Dangerous Game is a flat character.

3 Static vs. dynamic Static characters do not change during the course of the story. Ivan is a static character. Dynamic characters undergo some change or development because of the situation, such as Rainsford.

4 Antagonists and protagonists
An antagonist is a character forced into conflict with the main character, such as Zaroff. Who tried hunting Rainsford A protagonist is the main character or a character that wants a good outcome, so in the most dangerous game it is Rainsford.

5 Indirect and Direct characters
Direct characterization is when direct statements are made about a character ‘s traits like their appearance and personality. i.e. “handsome” or “original almost bizarre quality.” Indirect characterization reveals a character through thoughts, words, and actions or a character’s physical appearance.
