5 Housing and Settlements Risk-sensitive settlement planning Owner driven reconstruction in Nepali style Clustered settlements with basic services where feasible Building code enforcement Technical and financial support Urban regeneration with house-pooling Productive use of rubble Building hazard-resistant homes

6 Cultural Heritage Reconstruct with modern interior but salvaged, historical material on the exterior Retrofitting and preservation Incentivize homeowners in heritage settlements Strengthen the Dept. of Archaeology Train artisans en-masse

7 Industry & Commerce Access to concessional re-start-up capital Rescheduling of loans and access to working capital Temporary time-bound fiscal concessions PPP to revive tourism and cooperatives Fast-track approvals and renewals

8 Education: Resumption of educational services and restoration of infrastructure; Access to soft-loans for private schools Health: Replacing temporary arrangement on top priority Water & Sanitation: Restoration of water supply schemes and resumption of Open Defecation-Free campaign Transport: Speedy and efficient rehabilitation of road network with enhanced reliability All sector recovery strategies have strong focus on gender equality and social inclusion

9 The strategic objective is to develop a dynamic, flexible and responsive recovery program that has an unwavering focus on building stronger communities
