2. Saturday 1 st January 2011 NEW YEAR’S DAY IN ENGLAND, IRELAND, SCOTLAND AND WALES Today, I am remembering the old days when Pandora and Nigel would go to Training events without me. That’s all changed of course..

3. Now there’s no money so I must try to help. I’m online so there’s no travel and I’m free to join! So here are my New Year’s Resolutions:

4. I will promote evidence based practice ask, acquire, appraise, apply, assess

5. I will help solve real problems

6. I will help develop Critical Appraisal skills

9. Tuesday, 4 th January 2011 BANK HOLIDAY IN SCOTLAND My Club is going well! Nigel said nobody would be interested but it just shows how much he knows! I’ve got 18 MEMBERS!!!

10. Wednesday, 5 th January 2011 Sunrise: 8.33am. Sunset: 5.12pm. Mostly cloudy. We need rules for our Club. (OK, they’re not rules, just step- by-step instructions.)

11. Thursday, 6 th January 2011 Rule 1: Suggest a topic (use the “Add comment” box)

12. Friday, 7 th January 2011 Feast of Raymond of Penyafort Rule 2: This is true democracy. Other members now consider the topic….

13. ..and if it’s a hit then everyone joins in the search for papers.

14. Rule 3: A new topic page is created by the administrator.

15. Monday, 10 th January 2011 Partly sunny You can load relevant papers but please check Copyright. It would be just my luck to get done for breaching copyright!

17. Wednesday, 19 th January 2011 Full moon Upload files here…..then create a focused question using the “SPICE” box

18. Tuesday, 25 th January 2011 Feast of Conversion of Paul Rule 4: pick an article that looks like it will answer the question, and analyse it using this

19. Nigel says this really helps with Critical Appraisal skills. I told him we all knew that already.
