4 NINE MILE ROAD SIGNAL OPERATION PLAN The traffic signals at Heslip Drive and at Rothel Drive are interconnected and are planned to operate as follows: Both signals dwell on Phase 3 when no vehicles are detected at Heslip Drive and Rothel Drive and no train preemption signal is received for any oncoming train. Heslip Drive demand detected. No train preemption call received. Phase 3 to Phase 1 and then to Phase 2 and back to Phase 3. Rothel Drive demand detected. No train preemption call received. Phase 3 to Phase 4 to Phase 5 and back to Phase 3. Signal in Phase 3 train preemption call received. Phase 3 to Phase 6 to Phase 7 and then back to Phase 3. Signal in Phase 1 train preemption call received. Phase 1 to Phase 6 to Phase 7 and then to Phase 3. Signal in Phase 2 train preemption call received. Phase 2 to Phase 6 to Phase 7 to Phase 3. Signal in Phase 4 train preemption call received. Phase 4 to Phase 6 to Phase 7 to Phase 3. Signal in Phase 5 train preemption call received. Phase 5 to Phase 6 to Phase 7 to Phase 3.
