1 In his letter to the Christian family in Colossae, Paul speaks of change and transformation.

2 Based on Colossians 3:12-17 God loves you and has chosen you. You are a holy people. You must be full of thoughtfulness for others, generous, gentle and patient. Put up with one another; be ready to forgive each other if something goes wrong. The Lord has forgiven you. You must do the same. And, most important of all, love each other. And may the peace of Christ fill your hearts. This is why you belong to the Christian family. Always be thankful. Remember the wonderful words Jesus said. Be ready to teach and help each other, sharing what you know. Be happy and enjoy singing hymns to God. And in everything you say or do, do it as Jesus would want you to, giving thanks to God the Father.

3 Based on 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 God has given each of us different gifts. But he has given us the same Spirit in our hearts. There are many different ways of caring for ourselves and for one another, but it is the same Spirit who gives us the energy (power) to care for one another in these different ways. The Holy Spirit gives to some the power to speak wisely, to some the power to work out difficult problems, and to explain them; to some the power to believe in and trust God; to some the skill of nursing and healing; to some the power to do wonderful things, to some the power to know God and to help others to know him; to some the power to distinguish clearly between right and wrong. All different gifts. All are different forms of energy, but all given by the same Holy Spirit who is at work in our hearts.

4 You are going to write each gift you find in the passage around the circles on your worksheet and then draw a picture to illustrate the gift in the centre.
