Team Name Final Presentation Team Members Date Fall 2010 Rev A 08-23-10

User notes –You may reformat to fit your design but make sure you cover the following points –You may want to finalize your Design Document since it will help form your presentation. –This template is the barebones of what is needed. – Don’t focus on provided hardware, focus on your experiment, associated engineering, and results

User notes –You will have 8 minutes to cover all the items in this template. –You spend the majority of your time on the results and conclusions –You will be penalized for going over time –You will receive 7 minutes of questions –How well you answer them will be part of your grade.

Mission Overview (1 minute) –Simply state your mission so everyone remembers what it is –What did you expect to prove and/or discover

Design Overview (1 minute) –Should be shown with pictures of actual hardware –Include your Functional Block Diagram –Walk everyone through HOW your BalloonSat worked –Discuss differences from your proposal and your final product

Results and Analysis (2 to 4 minutes) –Compare predicted and actual –Data, Plots, Pictures, Videos –All of the above should be analyzed and conclusions made (label all plot with key events, etc) –Include a recap of how your BalloonSat flight went –NOTE: Use your HOBO Temp and RH data but it should not be the focus of your results and analysis section. Show it, explain it, but then move on. I am more interested in your HOBO data if it indicates a failure mode. –NOTE: Don’t show pre-flight structural testing.

Failure Analysis (1 to 2 minutes) –What failed and why? –How do you know? –What tests did you perform to verify failure mode? –Where you able to repeat the failure? –How do you know it has been fixed?

Conclusions (1 minute) –What did you discover? –What did your data tell you? –Wrap it up for everyone…

Appendix Conclude your presentation with the previous slide. Only show the following slides if asked. Please include in final presentation.

Appendix Lessons learned (30 seconds) –What would you have done differently if you could do this over? –What could you have done to get different results?

Appendix Ready to fly again (30 seconds) – How payload should be stored – How payload should be activated for flight – Other

Appendix RFP/Proposal/Requirement Compliance Matrix (show but only discuss if time) –Show how you met these requirements –i.e. 0 degrees C inside box, weight of 1,000 grams, etc

Appendix Mass summary and cost summary (show but only discuss if time)

Appendix Message to next semester (show but only discuss if time)
