5. 5 Last Week Finished hardware (all but mux’s) –Had to change the way the comparators were set up. This required additional hardware. Fixed software that was damaged with previous week’s additions Wrote MATLAB program to communicate via serial port with microcontroller

7. 7 Software Fix and Ideas New routines for LED altered old case statements As far as coding for train possibilities of switching track sections –Ignore if new running track section is the same as previous idle section

8. 8 Serial Communication Written in MATLAB Receives ASCII characters and displays graphics on track layout image. For second train, a second train command must be send first. Used MATLAB compiler and created a stand along application that user can select which serial port to use on PC User can print screen Tested using virtual serial cable inside PC
