3 3 Previous Week Spent Morning understanding previous years code –Added plenty of comments in code Afternoon spent working on my own coding –Implemented new menus –Added corresponding function to menus

4 4 Current Week Progress Mounted decoupling magnet on bypass lane Finished coding of manual decoupling aspect of project –Accomplished several decoupling runs –Added weights to trains for improvements

6 6 Next Week Goals Clean up coding and comment Begin design of automatic decoupling aspect of project –Use of LED and Phototransistor as sensor –Output high when connection obstructed –Use Timer 2 with sensor Website Update

7 7 Why Timer 2? Use Timer 2 in gated counter mode –The sensor output will provide the input When the sensor is obstructed the timer starts Area between cars will stop timer –Can detect a train car –Can determine length of car
