10 And How About Type Size? Sometimes you feel that you need to get a great deal of information on the screen. This is completely understandable because you intend to communicate a great deal about the subject that this slide represents. The problem is that your audience is not likely to be able to see this type and even if they could it would nave not impact. It is suggested that you not have very many words on any slide and that each slide only express a single idea. This way the audience can stay focused on a single thought. It is also helpful to use builds so that the audience does not read ahead on your bulleted items. Again, the idea is to keep the audience focused. Any time you find yourself wanting to put too much on a side or needing to use type that is too small to be readable, reevaluate how much that you are placing on the slide an try to use much larger type. Sometimes when you are using a number of pictures, and want to use a lot of text at the same time, you will find that the size has to be too small. Again, avoid trying to put too much on the same slide. You will also find that color will have a lot to do with how readable your small type is. You need as much contrast as you can get where your type is small.

11 Stay away from script fonts for all but decorative headings
