4 Seasons: There is an average of 30 degrees difference between low temperatures at night and high temperatures in daytime. Summer is hot and dry, Colorado has been going through drought in recent summers and has had water restrictions in place. Spring can be both warm and cold Fall is known for the colder weather, it normally starts to snow in about October. Winter is what Colorado is most known for because of the snow and the mountains. The snow accumulates over the months and gives the biggest tourist attractions. Colorado is knowing for having all four distinct seasons.

5 This is what Colorado is most well known for. Colorado has the most 14,000 foot peaks then any other state the highest being Mt. Elbert There are dozens of mountain resorts where you can ski snowboard or just relax.

Denver was supposed to host the 1976 Olympics. Colorado is part of four states included in the Continental Divide.
