3 Every state has a symbols, let’s learn about some symbols in Colorado. Colorado has a state flower, state animal, state bird, state flag, state songs, state gemstone, state tree and state motto. Colorado’s state flower is white and lavender columbine. The state animal is the Rocky Mountain Big Horn sheep, the males have horns, and they fight sometimes. The state bird is the Lark Bunting. Colorado’s state songs are “Where the Columbines grow” and “Rocky Mountain High’’. The state gemstone is Aquamarine. Colorado’s state tree is the Colorado Blue Spruce. Their state motto is Nil Sine Numine which means (Nothing without the deity). You can find out more in different books and websites about Colorado’s symbols.

4 Lon Chaney was famous because he was in The Hunch Back of Notre Dame and The Phantom of the Opera. Jack Dempsey was famous because of the title of America World Champion 1919 to 1926. John Denver was famous because he wrote the state song “Rocky Mountains High”. Chief Ouray was famous because he helped solve problems for the Europeans and Ute tribe.

5 If you come to Colorado you should see Bald Eagles because they’re near the Rocky Mountains and so are Big Horn Rams. You should see cities like Denver, Colorado Springs, Lakewood and Fort Collins. Also the Broncos won 2 Super Bowls and the Hockey Team only had 1 trophy. People in Colorado have a lot to eat because they have Bull Elk, Mule Deer and Coyote. The people in Colorado have everything they need.

6 Denver is the capital state of Colorado. Denver has a population of 588,349 people. Colorado Springs has a park with The Gardens of gods. Colorado Springs has 376,427 people. The city Pueblo’s people found gold. Pueblo has a population of 103,805 people. People came to this city in the 1870’s because they wanted to build farms. Fort Collins has a population of 133,899 people.

8 Colorado has a population of 4, 939,456 people in the 2000’s. People like Colorado as their state because they have plenty of space and minerals for plants and flowers. Colorado is the 8 th largest state in size so the people their have lots of space to use.

9 When it’s cold in Colorado people can do snowmobiling, skiing, snowshoeing and sledding. I’m going to teach you how to sled if you don’t know how to. First, you need a sled and a hill to side down. Next, you take your sled to the top of the hill. Third,you get in the sled let a grown up push the sled then weeee!!! Your sliding down the hill! There are more fun activities to do in Colorado too.
