6 B- Be in the Moment  Let’s apply what we teach in our class  Get organized  We teach our students a wide range of business principles, concepts and approaches. Why not practice what we preach?

7 A – Assemble your Materials  Do you know your students? Do you know what they need to be successful?  Utilize your Publishers Instructor Resource CD  Chapter power points chapter instructor notes/talking points assignments/responses quizzes/exams

9 I – Innovation  Produce graduates who have an understanding of the world around them  Include Music, Movies, Games, Social Media  Great site for free movies www.documentaries.com  Great site for word designs: wordle  Include a service learning component to create Well Rounded Scholars! Example:  Students participated in either the National Homeless Count or volunteered 4 hours at the Habitat for Humanity Restore this semester

10 C – Connect concepts  Do we have a one style approach when we teach?  Full-time Part-time  Traditional(F2F) Online/Hybrid  Young Adult Adult  Once we create an environment conducive to learning, we have to move our students from survival learning to generative learning (expanding their ability to create)

11 S – Seek support  Ask for a Mentor if one is not assigned to you  Ask a faculty member if you can visit their classroom  Be willing to learn from others – even your Students!  Utilize your Instructional Staff, Student Services Staff, Help Desk Staff  Obtain Instructor Resource CD’s for the courses you facilitate.
