2 A. A healthy Life Activity 1 Questions To Warm up: Do you lead a healthy life? Discuss the ways that people can make their lives healthier. Who do you think will live longer? Why? Can you say something about a balanced diet? What disease frightens you the most? Why? What’s your opinion of regular medical check-ups?

3 Activity 2: Imagine what Paula, Peter, and Maria are like. Describe the three people’s appearances and personalities. Work in pairs to come up with at least two more pieces of advice for each person in Part A Hear some more advice from the fitness expert. Afterwards, brainstorm other factors that might affect life expectancy.

5 Topics for discussion What do you do if you can’t get to sleep? Do you think mental health is important? Why? Why do you think some people become addicted to internet? Do you think smoking should be banned in all public places? Do you have any suggestions to help people quit smoking?

6 Listening Activities Do the listening activities and finish the task. Listen to the recording again, and write down points that surprised or interested you. Then have a brief class discussion about these points: 1. As we get older, we need less sleep. 2. You should wake up a sleepwalker in order to prevent a possible accident. 3. We move around a lot while we’re asleep. 4. Reducing stress can help you to sleep. 5. Going to bed at the same time every night can help you sleep. 6. Quiet music can help you sleep.
