12 Foundation Feature Overview

13 Discover & View Intermec Devices
Device can be discovered and managed by console by simply being on network – No need to manually add to console. Determine device ready-to-work status View Device Properties such as asset information

14 Press “Discover” to find
Intermec devices on the Network. Ready-to-Work Status indicates that device is on network & functioning properly

15 Right Click on device to
View Device Properties Such as Hardware Config, Model, Serial#

16 Configure Remotely Device settings may be viewed or modified to configure the device without touching it Configuration functionality also available locally on mobile computers as a control panel applet called “Intermec Settings”

17 Select “Intermec Settings” to view unique device configuration settings

18 Back-up & RestoreSettings
Create a back-up copy of configuration settings for a selected device For security reasons, settings such as WEP keys are not copied, but you may edit the back-up to add security settings or adjust other configurations Back-up settings may be restored to the original device or copied to other devices A “golden” version of device settings can restore a device to a standard configuration for resolution of field issues, or provide quick deployment of settings to a replacement device.

19 Update OS & Software Remotely
Software and OS versions can be updated remotely The Console updates one device at a time, and enables you to fully restore a device by loading the OS, then loading mobile software, and finally restoring configuration settings.

20 Device Inventory Keeps Tabs On Assets
Once a device has been discovered, the console automatically registers it onto a list of known Intermec devices By default, devices are organized by device family (i.e. Pen Notepad Computers, etc) and identified by serial# You can create your own device groupings and reorganize devices into the new groupings.

21 Devices identified by Serial# by Default. Relabel device as desired. Organize devices into user-defined categories to simplify device tracking

22 Software Vault Consistent Distribution and Storage of Intermec Software Simply drag software from vault and drop on desired device includes integrity checks to ensure that the correct software is installed on the correct device. (i.e. Doesn’t allow Windows Mobile software for the 700 series to be installed on a CE device such as the CK31).
