4. UC-TAP – Start Now!
Receive the benefits as soon as possible. Students can use UC TAP to enter their course work (completed and planned) from the very beginning of their college careers, when they consider transfer to a UC campus.

5. UC-TAP Accounts May Be Required
Students need a UC TAP to:
Participate in certain UC Transfer Prep Programs
Obtain an advising appointment at some UCs
Submit a UC TAG Application

In the personal and demographic (optional) information, encourage students to:
Use a reliable address that is checked regularly.
Be consistent with use of their name on all UC applications.
In the academic history section, students should:
List ALL high schools and colleges attended.
Manually enter institutions only when not included on the pull-down menu provided.
Be thorough and accurate!

Six University of California campuses offer guaranteed transfer admission to students from all California Community Colleges (CCC).
UCLA, UCB & UCSD do not participate in TAG

CCC counselors can use UC TAP evaluation tools for any student in the UC TAP system, regardless of TAG status or UC campus.

UC limitations: show as “undetermined” – evaluate accordingly

GPA & Units calculation varies dependent upon the option selected:

Select the GPA & Units option “Evaluated-Transferable” to view the summary based upon your course evaluation.
Major Prep: visible only for transferable courses marked as “MP”
