2 Centre for Socio-Technical Systems Design Objectives To synthesise the literature from a variety of disciplines in order to consider new and emerging conceptual and methodological challenges for team working structures, processes and practices. To inspire thought and discussion through real world examples of team working challenges. To highlight problems experienced by practitioners in introducing initiatives to improve team working in organizations. To consider the contribution of different methodological tools in the study of teams. To explore the ways in which a multi-level, socio-technical approach would enrich existing knowledge, understanding and practice in this area. To bring together the ideas presented from a range of disciplines and international perspectives, and engage the audience in discussion about ways to enhance the likelihood of successful interventions across cultures.
