3 3 Tips to Prepare for Upgrade ●“It’s about the business, not the software” –Review/revise business policies and processes ●Identify and organize your team now ●Review/revise your documentation of your business and your system –Especially your documentation on customizations and modifications! –Population Selection tool? (more later…) ●Are you fully configured/setup to take advantage of all the enhancements? ●Vision vs. Pragmatism

4 4 Person Model ●Personal Data split up into multiple effective dated tables ●Employment table eliminated ●Person Of Interest allows more types of people to be tracked on the system without being employees ●Person can have multiple relationships with the organization at the same time ●One EMPLID (or Person ID) stays with the person regardless of relationship or status ●Some Person Of Interest (POI) types can have benefits (Other Payee) ●Does more for HR than Campus Community This data structure change is a big part of a upgrade from 8.0 to 9.0

6 6 Human Resources 1.Profile Management –Replaces accomplishments and competencies –Includes career planning, performance management (links), and training 2.Template Based Hires –Define hire templates that can save users time and data entry on hires –Hire can be delegated to management with final process reviewed by HR before hire is completed 3.I-9 –Employee self-service form that meets compliance standards for Employment Eligibility Verification –Manager or administrator completes the transaction on-line and I-9 forms will now be stored electronically

7 7 Benefits 1.Formulas –Replaces coverage calculation process with more flexibility to calculate difficult coverage options especially for life insurance 2.Single Rate Table –Replaces individual rate tables (flat, age, etc.) with one single table. A few more options added. 3.Simple Plan Type –New plan type for client defined plans ●Such as legal assistance, parking, or transit tickets

8 8 Payroll/Time and Labor 1.Printable Self-Service Check Stub –PDF version of the check so an employee can go on-line and print their deposit advice cleanly 2.Garnishment Improvements –More complexity and more flexibility for those who understand how to play with the garnishment rules 3.Time and Labor Enhancements –Employee details can be extracted to Excel –More integration with payroll options

For admissions, last admission term 2.Updated Education component –Merged external education and academic summary tabs –Changed the desired/received section to "Transcript Status" and made the field display and order customizable 3.Updated application and prospect delete –Can use population selection, cleaned up a few issues
