2. What is OZJAC? OZJAC is the one stop career tool . OZJAC offers users:
Access to over courses from all Australian universities, TAFEs and private providers
Over 540 searchable job profiles
60+ career planning topics
Over 2000 provider profiles
Support material; including, worksheets to enable effective use of OZJAC
OZJAC is designed to be easy-to-navigate and logical so it can be used independently.
It is accurate, relevant and up-to-date as Hobsons is the only organisation to source all data directly from institutions
OZJAC is the ideal exploration tool for students in years 11 and12 who are wanting to further their studies or review careers options. It is also beneficial for students in the lower levels researching careers. .
OZJACS aim is help student and others through the career maze- a one-stop shop instead if having to refer to hundreds of handbooks and other resources-all in different formats

6. Courses….
The Course module provides full course profiles with information about attendance modes, fees and more!!
20,000 accredited courses
Multiple search options including region, field of study, course level, attendance type, entry requirements, related job name

7. Courses….
Users pick search options from the list on the top right to find courses that meet their requirements.
Some options are exploratory, such as,
Region, field of study, entry requirements, attendance types, subject area.
Others are more specific for those who know what they are after:
Related job name, provider name, course name.
In this example the search option is region which allows you to narrow down your search.

8. Courses….
By clicking on field of study it allows you to narrow down the number of courses to allow you to find a course of interest.
You can make as many selections as you like, for example in this case, art, craft, music and dance is selected as well as business, administration and sales.
The options you click on turn blue and a description of the term appears in the bellow box.
You may notice the yellow bar at the bottom of the screen. This helps you know what to do next, in this instance click the NEXT button to view your list of courses.

The list of courses is displayed in the top half, with providers offering the course listed in the bottom half.

10. Sample of course profile
This is an example of a course profile.
A full course profile is displayed in the course profile tab, including information such as courser attendance type and length, qualifications, summary descriptions, course structure, subjects studied, entry requirements, applications and enrolment procedure, where it is offered, how much it costs and contact details.
You can click on the other folders tabs to see if additional is available, for example, job outcomes folder.

The Provider module contains information on the providers including campus addresses, student services, transport details and contact information
Over 2,000 sites at universities, TAFE Institutes & private providers
Search by region, name or sector
Maps
OZJAC covers information on all the universities, all the TAFES and over 1500 private colleges

Once determining the search criteria for the provider module a list of providers come up. This is an example of a provider profile
Provider profiles include campus lists and addresses, website address, descriptions, entrance policy, credit transfer policy, student population, student services, accommodation, transport, study areas and contact information.

14. Job Search
The Job search module provides descriptions of duties, specialisations working conditions.
Around 540 occupations
Multiple search options including field of work, type of work, skill level and school subjects
Linked to relevant training

OZJAC provides job descriptions for over 540 jobs. Students can search by common names such as ‘doctor’-to find ‘medical practioner’ or a specialization, such as, a ‘paediatrician’ which would also guide them back to the main job of medical practitioner.

Whilst using the job module you are able to click on search options such as field of study to narrow down your search options. Alternatively, if you know what occupation you would like to search for you can simply click on industry name and type in the desired job
