4 Factbook To make the life easier you should assume that the only indicators available for your country are the ones which can be found in the OECD Factbook.

5 Key Indicators A set of key indicators covers economic, social, environmental and other concerns without deriving any particular single measure. Example of the headline indicators chosen to Measure Australian Progress: 1. INDIVIDUALS: Health; Education and Training; Work. 2. THE ECONOMY AND ECONOMIC RESOURCES: National Income; Economic Hardship; National Wealth; Housing; Productivity. 3. THE ENVIRONMENT: the Natural Landscape; the Air and Atmosphere; Oceans and Estuaries. 4. LIVING TOGETHER: Family, Community, and Social Cohesion; Crime; Democracy, Governance, and Citizenship.

6 Your Job is to select  the 10 most important available indicators of your region’s progress  recommend another 5 indicators which are needed to provide a full assessment of progress but for which data are not available  reflect on the process: Were discussions useful? How was consensus reached? Where there were areas of disagreement?

7 Remember! You will need to try to reach consensus on your choice of indicators. Your presentation to the Secretary General should discuss the indicators and the process.
