Examples we used (or tried to use): Wal-Mart parking lot on a Saturday City sponsored events (not just prevention related events); E-mail blast from the school to parents, with Survey Monkey link; Include in utility bills (we were not able to do this because our City contracts their utility billing out to third party... but we tried);

E-mail blast to County employees; requested large employers’ HR departmentS to send the Murvey Monkey link to all of their employees; Post Survey Monkey link on Facebook -- ask "friends" to share with their friends; Host free movie nights at local schools and request adults attending complete the survey upon their arrival. 3) When offering pen/paper surveys during community events or at shopping center parking lots, consider having a raffle for small prize ($20 gift card, etc)... a completed survey produces a ticket into the raffle OTHER IDEAS???????????????????

A total of 5,931 surveys have been collected from 28 communities. Sample size by site ranges from 67 to 579. Sample Size by Site Recommended minimum sample size = 200

All sites surveyed more women than men, with a range of 59% up to 82%.

Seven sites had a significant number (10%+) of Hispanic respondents. Most of the Native Americans surveyed were in two sites. Only one site has a significant number of African American respondents Racial and Ethnic Diversity White/Caucasian 76% Native American 5% African American 1% Hispanic/ Latino 15% Other 4% NOTES: Other race/ethnicity includes Asian, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander, and those answered “other race/ethnicity”. Results from SE Seattle are not included in this analysis, due to differences in the question.
