11 Docklands School Bid Process May 2013 - bid process commenced to secure a private school in Docklands Subject site is located in Digital Harbour precinct (2,050m2) Mandatory bid requirement that the school includes a primary component (preparatory to yr 6)

12 Docklands School Bid Process School can be developed as a stand alone project or as part of a larger mixed use development An innovative vertical school model is sought in place of a traditional campus style approach to maximise the site opportunity Construction must commence by late 2014

14 Docklands School Bid Process Timeframe bids must be received by 3pm Friday 14 June 2013 preferred bidder(s) selected mid / late July 2013 successful developer selected mid / late 2013 construction to commence by November 2014 Bids will be assessed against a range of criteria by teams selected from Places Victoria and the City of Melbourne.

16 Garden Shelter (CoM lead) Building Permit approved and construction ready to proceed Access to site for shelter construction not expected until mid/late June due to hoardings

17 The Glass House (temporary activation) (PV lead) Sustainable outdoor communal backyard – plant installation and café. Construction contract signed. Fabrication commenced May; on-site works by late July.

18 Temporary Landscape (CoM Lead) Project in costing phase Initial application planned to complement the Glass House in Harbour Esplanade

19 Floating (Barge) Stage for Events (CoM lead) Successful Alma Doepel ship lift and barge move to Docklands in April CoM to explore future usage options for barge (post- completion of ship repairs)
