See your IT administrator for the Windows XP Multilanguage installation procedure. Begin installation. Follow the instructions, and accept the License Agreement. Do you need more than one language accessible on your Tablet PC? This guide provides the information you need to add multiple language capabilities to your Tablet PC. Using this guide, you will learn how to: Install Multiple Languages for Microsoft ® Windows ® XP Install Multiple Languages for Your Tablet PC Install the Tablet PC Recognizer Pack Install Multiple Languages for Microsoft Office 2003 and Microsoft Windows Media ® Player Notes The multilanguage packs only work with Windows XP Service Pack 2 (English version). If your computer does not have SP2 installed, you must update Windows XP to SP2. If you have multiple language packs installed on your Tablet PC, the layout of the on-screen keyboard changes to the selected language. Install Multiple Languages for Windows XP 1 Adding multiple languages to your Tablet PC involves three primary steps: Install Multiple Languages for Windows XP Install Multiple Languages for your Tablet PC Install the Tablet PC Recognizer Pack Once you have completed these steps, you will go into the Windows XP Control Panel to configure how you use the multiple languages. After you have installed the multilanguage packs for Windows XP and Tablet PC, you may install the multilanguage Tablet PC tutorials for Windows XP. 2 On the Windows XP Multilingual User Interface Pack page, select the language(s) that you require. Select your default user settings, and then click OK. When the installation is complete you will be prompted to restart your computer. 3 4 Find the Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 Multilingual User Interface (MUI) Pack at: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=ac1c6f5a- bace-425b-bc60-f8d3331c89a3&displaylang=en. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=ac1c6f5a- bace-425b-bc60-f8d3331c89a3&displaylang=en Click Continue. You may receive the Genuine Windows Download page asking you to validate Windows. Click Download. In the File Download – Security Warning dialog box, click Run. After the file has downloaded, in the Internet Explorer – Security Warning dialog box, click Run. The Tablet PC Edition 2005 Multilingual User Interface (MUI) Pack – Install wizard is displayed, click Next. Install the Tablet PC Recognizer Pack Go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=080184dd- 5e92-4464-b907-10762e9f918b&displaylang=en. Click Continue. You may receive the Genuine Windows Download page asking you to validate Windows. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=080184dd- 5e92-4464-b907-10762e9f918b&displaylang=en Click Download. In the File Download – Security Warning dialog box, click Run. After the file has downloaded, in the Internet Explorer – Security Warning dialog box, click Run. On the Microsoft Windows Tablet PC Edition 2005 Recognizer Pack Wizard, click Next. Accept the License Agreement, and then click Next. On the Customer Information page, type your information. On the Setup Type page, click the setup you prefer, and then click Next. On the Ready to Install the Program page, click Install. When the installation is complete, click Finish. 1 2 3 4 5 6 Click Start. Click Control Panel, and then click Regional and Language Options. On the Regional Options tab, select the language you want to use as well as your location. 1 2 Choose Your Primary Language Click the Languages tab. In the Language used in menus and dialogs list, click the language you want to use. Click OK. 3

Install the Multiple Language Tablet Tutorials (Optional) Go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=fc308f6c- 0cfb-4ade-835d-5f0082b7ccff&displaylang=en. Click Download. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=fc308f6c- 0cfb-4ade-835d-5f0082b7ccff&displaylang=en In the File Download – Security Warning dialog box, click Run. In the Internet Explorer – Security Warning dialog box, click Run. On the welcome page, click Next. Accept the License Agreement, and then click Next. On the Ready to Install the Program page, click Install. 1 2 3 4 1 Contact your IT administrator for the Office 2003 Multilanguage Pack CD. On the Available Languages page, click the language(s) that you would like to use, and then click Next. On the Choose the current language to use page, choose your preferred options, and then click Next. 3 4 Add Multiple Languages to Office 2003 Install Multiple Languages for Office 2003 and Windows Media Player When you change the language of Office, you can view e-mail messages and other documents in that language correctly—characters will not appear distorted or as symbols. Insert the Office 2003 Multilanguage CD into your CD drive, follow the instructions, and accept the License Agreement. 2

On the Type of Installation page, choose the type of installation that you prefer, as well as the location. Click Install. When the installation is complete, you will see the following message: Microsoft Office 2003 Multilingual User Interface Pack Setup has completed successfully. Click OK. 5 6 Go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=02106bdb- b012-4327-96cb-73937ae00667&DisplayLang=en. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=02106bdb- b012-4327-96cb-73937ae00667&DisplayLang=en Click the file with the language that you require. In the Internet Explorer – Security Warning dialog box, click Run. Click Run again in the next Internet Explorer – Security Warning dialog box. Click Yes in the WMP MUI Setup dialog box, and then click Yes to accept the end-user license agreement. 1 2 3 4 Add Multiple Languages to Windows Media Player Note Office will automatically change to the same language as Windows. Note The Windows Media Player language that you set up is effective only when you set the Windows XP language to the same language.
