2  Arthur Chickering came up with his theory that broke down the development of identity into seven vectors.  All of his research involved surveying college students.  All of the vectors can interact with one another and people go through them at different times. CHICKERING’S SEVEN VECTORS OF STUDENT DEVELOPMENT
