For many people, preparing and eating food are social activities. Food brings people together. Just as food plays a part in social life, social life plays a part in eating habits and food choices.

Holidays All cultures have special days for celebration. Traditions abound in holiday celebrations. Many traditions are related to food. Identify 3 traditions in your family that involve food. What is the food? How would the tradition be different without the food? Discuss.

Create 3 traditions that you will pass down to your children in which food will be involved. No more than 1 tradition can come from one holiday Remember this is for your kids so be specific as to where the tradition would take place
