1) Sit with your data group 2) Take out your weekend homework 3) Write data and observations on your group’s poster (data table and averages) 4) Your group will present poster to the class

 Place your homework in your class’ slot of the inbox.

 Please take out your textbook and your math journal.  From now on, assume that you will use your textbook and math notebook every class.  You will have notebook checks every other week. You will check each others’ notebooks.

Write the date and the following learning targets in your notebook: 1) I can analyze the graph and/or data to answer questions. 2) I can reflect a shape across an axis.

Write down your role.  If the first letter of your first name starts closest to A, you are the resource manager.  If the first letter of your first name starts second closest to A, you are the facilitator.  If the first letter of your first name starts furthest from A, you are the task manager.  [If your team has 4 members, the fourth member is the recorder/reporter.]

 Resource managers, raise your hands.  Facilitators, raise your hands.  Task managers, raise your hand.  Recorder/reporters, raise your hands.

 Do 1-47, 1-48, and 1-49 in your groups.  Verify solutions with your group.  You will share your solution with the class.

 Reflection is a mirror image of an object.

 You will now receive a resource page.

 Staple, tape, or paste your resource page into your notebook.

 Silently, for 10 minutes, write a response to the following questions in your journal:

1) Everybody stand up. 2) Make a line of desks in the center of the room. 3) Form a straight line on each side of the desks so that you are facing another person. 4) Copy what the person on the other side does. 5) Now give the person across from you the envelope. Start over.

 Has anybody forgotten algebra?

Graph y = 2x – 1 1) Create a table of x-values 2) Use the equation to find y-values 3) Graph the points onto x-y axes [on board]. 4) Scale, and Label your axes and equation. x-3-20123 y x-3-20123 y2(-3)-1 = -7-5-3135

1) y = -2x + 1 2) y = 4x – 2 3) y = 0.5x – 3 When these are complete, several of these will be shown to the class through the document camera.

 1-54 to 1-58  For step-by-step tutorials, go to hotmath.com and use login lincoln123

1) Graph the function y = 2x – 2 2) Reflect y = 2x – 2 across the x-axis. This must be done before you can leave.
