The Parable of the Sower illustrates it Matt.13:4,19 Some don’t want to hear and understand Matt.13:14,15 Prov.28:14– “14 …he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.”

Matt.7:1,2– “1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you.” Jesus shows us how to cure this kind of mind Matt.7:3-5; Eph.4:29

Prov.12:25– “25 Heaviness in the heart of a man maketh it stoop; But a good word maketh it glad.” Prov.13:12– “12 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick; But when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.” The cure: see some good and count your blessings

To have this mind is dangerous indeed Gal.6:3; 1 Cor.8:2; Prov.16:5,18 God always resists the proud Matt.23:12; 1 Pet.5:5 The cure: think about others and their needs Rom.12:3; Phil.2:1-3

This is a work of the flesh, the carnal mind Gal.5:19-21; 1 Cor.3:3 Rom.13:13,14– “13 Let us walk becomingly, as in the day; not in revelling and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and jealousy. 14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.”

Inordinate affections & covetousness is sin Col.3:5,6; Lk.12:15 The cure: learn to be content with what you have 1 Tim.6:6-8; Heb.13:5

Eph.4:28– “28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have whereof to give to him that hath need.” 2 Thess.3:10– “10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, If any will not work, neither let him eat.”
