Purpose This session will focus on personal hygiene, the do and don’ts of dressing up, and teaching students how to tie a tie.

Activity Activity: MatchingProducts & Actions to the Situation Each student will receive either a product or an action. The tasks is to match the product with the appropriate action. For example: Product- Going on a date Action- Iron clothes, shave, bathe, brush teeth

Types of Dress Attire Business Professional – Shirt and tie is required – A suit is preferred but you can wear a blazer Business Ready – Shirt and tie is required – A suit or blazer is not required Business Casual – Shirt (Button down or polo) and tie is suggested – A suit is not required Casual –Plain t-shirt or polo with khakis, jeans, or shorts –DOES NOT include: shirts with profanity or graphics

Tips for dressing up Jewelry – Keep to a minimum Ties should reach the top of your belt buckle. Shoes can be with or without shoe ties. Always wear dress socks. No white socks! Exposing skin due to short socks is not professional. Keep hair, nails, and teeth well maintained. Tattoos should be covered, whether with clothing, shoes or make up. Piercings-Think wisely before you get something done.

Do’s and Don’t’s DO: Wear deodorant, brush your teeth, trim and polish nails, brush your hair Wear appropriate jewelry DON’T: Don’t wear overpowering cologne or perfume Don’t try out elaborate hairstyles Don’t wear trendy clothing, keep it classic
