8 SUMMATIVE ASSESMENT (SA) IT IS A PEN AND PAPER TEST DURATION IS OF 3 HOURS COVERS ENTIRE TERM SYLLABUS IT IS OF 90 MARKS WEIGHTAGE IS 30% OF THE TERM IF A CHILD FAILS IN ANY SUBJECT, HE/SHE WILL BE ALLOWED TO SIT FOR IMPROVEMENT TEST.

9 FORMATIVE ASSESMENT (FA)  FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT IS A TOOL USED BY A TEACHER TO CONTINUOUSLY MONITOR STUDENTS PROGRESS IN A NON- THREATENING SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT.  IT PROVIDES A PLATFORM FOR ACTIVE INVOLVEMENT OF STUDENTS IN THEIR OWN LEARNING.  IT INCLUDES VARIETY OF TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES FOR ASSESSMENT OF THE LEARNER.

10  THEY ARE BASED ON ACTIVITIES SUCH AS PROJECTS, GROUP ACTIVITIES, PRESENTATIONS, QUIZ ETC.  ASSESSED ON DIFFERENT PARAMETERS SUCH AS :  TIMELY SUBMISSION  CONTENT  PRESENTATION ETC.  FA-II & IV IS PEN AND PAPER TEST OF 20 MARKS IN THE FORM OF WEEKLY TESTS FORMATIVE ASSESMENT (FA)

12 NO LEAVE IS ALLOWED ON THE DAYS OF FA AND SA EXAMS. IN CASE OF MEDICAL LEAVE, PARENTS SHOULD PERSONALLY REPORT TO THE HEADMISTRESS ALONG WITH AN APPLICATION AND A MEDICAL CERTIFICATE. PLEASE NOTE:

14 NORMS FOR PARENTS AND STUDENTS

15 I. STUDENT DIARY IT IS A COMPREHENSIVE DOCUMENT OF THE SCHOOL. PARENTS MUST READ ALL THE DETAILS GIVEN IN THE DIARY. STUDENTS MUST CARRY IT TO SCHOOL EVERYDAY. PARENTS ARE TO PROVIDE ALL PERSONAL DATA IN THE DIARY. ALL NOTES GIVEN BY THE TEACHERS SHOULD BE SIGNED BY THE PARENTS WITHOUT FAIL.

18 2. REGULARITY AND PUNCTUALITY CHILD MUST REACH SCHOOL AT LEAST 5 MINUTES IN ADVANCE (7.40 AM) 75% ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY AS PER C.B.S.E. RULES IF THERE IS A GENUINE REQUIREMENT, HIS / HER ABSENCE MUST BE SUPPORTED BY A LEAVE APPLICATION,PREFERABLY THROUGH SCHOOL DIARY. NO HALF DAY LEAVE WILL BE PERMITTED

19 3. PERSONALITY CHILD MUST COME TO SCHOOL IN PROPER UNIFORM COLOURFUL CLIPS,BANDS ARE NOT ALLOWED ONLY SCHOOL PRESCRIBED SHOES ARE TO BE WORN. BOYS SHOULD HAVE PROPERLY TRIMMED HAIR AND GIRLS WITH LONG HAIR SHOULD HAVE THEM PLAITED. NO NAIL PAINTS AND DEO SPRAYS SHOULD BE APPLIED.

20 4. CONDUCT STUDENTS MUST CONDUCT THEMSELVES WITH GRACE AND DECENCY AND NOT INDULGE IN FIGHTS / SQUABBLES EITHER INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL NO ELECTRONIC ITEM,MOBILES SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO SCHOOL. THEY WILL BE CONFISCATED IF CAUGHT AND WILL NOT BE RETURNED. STUDENTS SHOULD BE SENSITIVE TOWARDS THE USE OF SCHOOL PROPERTY.

21 BULLYING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED IN THE SCHOOL CAMPUS. IF FOUND GUILTY AS PER THE CBSE DIRECTIVES FOLLOWING ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AGAINST THE CHILD a) ORAL AND WRITTEN WARNING b) SUSPENSION FROM ATTENDING CLASSES / SCHOOL c) WITHHOLDING OR CANCELLING THE RESULTS d) IMPOSITION OF FINE e) EXPULSION / RUSTICATION FROM SCHOOL

22 5. MAINTENANCE OF NOTEBOOKS ONLY SCHOOL NOTEBOOKS ARE TO BE USED. PROPER INDEX SHOULD BE MAINTAINED FOR E.G. THEY SHOULD BE REGULAR IN DOING THEIR WORK AND SUBMITTING THEIR NOTEBOOKS.
