31. But buildings - and houses - can look very different from each other If you designed a house, what would it look like?

32. When an architect designs a building, usually he or she will Draw a sketch – A sketch is a simple drawing to help you work on ideas and problems

33. The architect will often - Draw an elevation – An elevation drawing Shows one side of the building It looks very flat It shows details or

The elevation drawing will often be shown to the client A client is– The person or group or people who have hired the architect to create the design The client must approve the design or the architect must make changes There are more types of drawings and plans that must be prepared to get ready to build a house An architect must learn a lot about buildings!
