When you use the computers at school do you make sure that you are always doing the right thing?

What to do straight away Click off the website Close the lid of the laptop/ turn off the screen of the PC Take the computer to the teacher Tell the teacher what happened Fill out an incident report * Make sure you tell the truth!

What the teachers will do Lock the computer away or put an “Don’t use!” sign on the screen. Take the computer to Vili – Tell Vili to check the PC Vili will do a full investigation (He can search and access all students/teachers website history.) He can also search the history of searches of each computer. Vili will find out who has first clicked/accessed the website. Vili will write an incident report. The teacher will also tell a DP about the incident.

What will happen then? Teachers/Syndicate Leaders/DP’s will meet with your parents to: A) Tell them what has happened. B) What we did to keep you safe. C) If you’ve done anything wrong to tell them about that. D) Tell them if you’ve done the right thing. E) Tell them of the consequences.

What will the consequences be? The person accessing a questionable website should always tell the teachers immediately. If they haven’t done this there could be serious consequences. Depending on the seriousness of the behaviour, these things could happen: 1. Notify parents 2. Remove access to Internet at school 3. Stand Down 4. Suspension
