6. Maturity The female panda reaches maturity between the ages of 4- 10 years But will only be able to mate 12-25 days in between mid-March and mid-May

7. Parenting The males leave after mating The mother will only mother one of her two cubs the other she will abandon Carries cub everywhere for the first few weeks The cub will stay with the mother for 18 months

8. Life Span In the zoo panda’s live to about 30 years In the wild they live to an estimated less than 20 years!

9. Habitat Mainly in these Chinese Provinces: The south of Gansu Province Sichuan Province mountains Qin Ling Mountains of Shaanxi Province As well as zoos and nature reserves Red parts are where pandas live

10. Interesting Facts! A grown panda will need to eat 28 lbs. of bamboo before it is full The panda is listed in the endangered species list the are approximately 1,590 pandas left in the wild due to loss of habitat.
