2. Australia helping East Timor… The Indonesian invaded and annexed East Timor even though East Timor was helped by Australia. East Timor blamed Australia when some of the Aussies died. The Prime Minister said and I quote “I blame the Australians for risking lives and weapons for East Timor, we never wanted ( or needed ) help, so we do not take responsibility over deaths and injury.”

3. The weapons used in the East Timor war were crossbows, guns, knives and muscle. WEAPONS

4. Why did Indonesia invade East Timor? It was because East Timor was thought to have, in other words stolen, some land off Indonesia. East Timor didn’t know that then the war had started because Indonesia thought that East Timor were invading their land. So apparently, Indonesia decided to do the same thing by annexing and invading East Timor.

5. When was East Timor invaded? In 1975 Portugal pulled out of East Timor, leaving it free for invasion and war. July 16, 9 days after East Timor had become an independent nation, it was invaded and annexed by Indonesia.

6. Deaths Anywhere from 60,000 to 100,000 Timorese were killed in the first year, since 1975.
