3 Lifespan Burrowing owls can live 9 years in the wild and 10 years in the zoo.

4 Eating Habits and Diet  Burrowing owls eat moles, mice, beetles, grasshoppers and reptiles.

5 Population  There are about 10,000 breeding pairs.

6 Habitat/Range  Burrowing owls live in the United States from the Mississippi River to the Pacific Ocean.
