2 What do Jaguars look like?
Jaguars are orange, black and white with black spots.

3 Where do Jaguars live? Jaguars live in the Tropical Rainforest Biomes of Central and South America.

4 Why are Jaguars endangered?
Deforestation, the cutting down of trees, means jaguars are losing their habitat. Jaguars are hunted for their beautiful fur.

5 How can we help Jaguars survive?
People should stop cutting down the rainforests, and should not buy animal furs for coats.

6 What do Jaguars eat? Jaguars like to eat: Deer Wild Pigs Fish Frogs
Turtles Crocodiles Monkeys

7 How do Jaguars hunt? Jaguars hunt for their prey on land and in water. They have strong jaws and sharp teeth that kill their prey by biting right through its skull.

8 How do Jaguars hunt? The Mayan meaning of Jaguar is “he who kills with one leap.” Jaguars can leap 20 feet in one jump.

10 How long do Jaguars live?
Jaguars live up to 15 years in the wild. They live alone except when they have babies. Mother jaguars care for their cubs for two years and teach them how to hunt.
